GF64GEI Fan assisted gas oven, made in Italy by Glem Gas. Superb temperature control through a thermostat system that does not require an electrical connection to operate. It is a great solution for homes operating on solar power and who would like to go "Off Grid".
There are 4 cooking functions: Fan assisted Gas, static gas, fan assisted electric grill and static electric grill. The electric grill is inside the oven cavity and grilling is done with the door closed for efficiency and to keep cooking odours out of the kitchen. An electric grill is preferred due to the easier cleaning and less likelihood of a flare up during cooking. There is a digital timer for time of day and to use as cooking timer.
The GF64GEI oven is able to be installed into a standard 60cm electric oven cavity. The only modification required is the addition of a 50mm deep cavity under the oven to ventilate the burner
The full glass door is triple glazed for lower surface temperatures and the inner glass is easily removed for cleaning the door.
The oven enamel is a titanium finish with extremely low porosity making the oven much easier to keep clean.
Heating of the oven is via a under floor burner that distributes the heat on all four sides for perfect heat distribution.
In all states of Australia there is a cost saving when using a natural gas oven compared to an electric oven. An oven used for 90 minutes per day will save between $130 and $360 per year depending on the state. To calculate your saving, the GF64GEI uses 7.5 Mj/H and an similar electric oven will use 2.2 Kw/h. In NSW metro the difference is gas = 23 cents/hour and electricity 70 cents per hour.
